EPDM error message
The above message can occur in SOLIDWORKS EPDM when some registry keys were not removed at the time a local vault view was deleted. This is often the result of Windows User Account Control being active during the deletion of the vault view. In order to recreate the vault view, the below keys must first be deleted or renamed.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Vaults\[VAULTNAME]
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks Enterprise\Databases\[VAULTNAME]
and also on a 64-bit Operating System:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SolidWorks\Applications\PDMWorks
VAULTNAME refers to the vault view that cannot be added
Please note that caution should be taken when editing the registry, as changing or deleting the wrong key, can affect other programs, or the operating system. If you not are familiar with Windows Registry, please have someone who is, do this for you.
